The beginning
Wayne MacDermott enters the menswear industry, building two decades of experience before opening in Kelowna.
1994
The move
Wayne and Jay MacDermott relocate to Kelowna with plans for a premium men's clothing store built on experience, service and style.
1995
Opening
MacDermott's opens on Bernard Avenue in April, dedicated from the outset to helping men look and feel their best.
2005
Expansion
A major expansion adds more than 2,000 square feet of retail space, a full footwear department, and the first Tommy Bahama shop-in-shop of its kind in North America.
2023
A new chapter
In October, James and Suzen Marshall assume ownership. James brings decades of Kelowna retail experience and a respected eye for design and detail.
2025
Thirty years
MacDermott's celebrates its thirtieth anniversary as a cornerstone of Kelowna's retail community, serving clients from around the world.
